If you also begin to accuse the fateful pounds accumulated during the winter but you begin to feel bad if it is pronounced the word “gym” or simply if someone suggests you go running.. well, welcome to the club of the incurably lazy!
It is for some time that you hear of a (not exactly new ..) way to combine business with pleasure through the practice of well-known Burlesque…
For all those who feel a little caught in the area of feathers and sensual innuendo.. remember what exactly means burlesque..
The term burlesque denotes a kind of parody show born in Victorian England in the second half of the nineteenth century, which found its fortune in the United States later transformed gradually into a genre similar to today’s Variety.
The burlesque was a show that parodied the world, habits and pastimes of the aristocracy and the wealthy industrialists, to entertain the lower classes. Each show featured a plot, the songs, the dance numbers, and a lot of irony and humor. But, to keep alive the interest of the public, in the 60’s of 1800 supporters of the shows did not scruple to put on stage women not so dressed.. Obviously with the proper proportions than today.
The burlesque shows have bewitched for some years our beautiful country, which sees this kind of performance more and more requests from local and theaters as well as to real organized courses that are held in numerous gyms.
Many women have approached this practice because they consider burlesque as a true elixir of youth.. which helps them keep fit and at the same time to renew a sensuality neglected over time.
Not only girls.. but especially mature women, from 30 to 60 years, who see the burlesque as a cure to keep young and vital.
The burlesque performances are nuanced approach because the performer sensuality embellished with sequins, feathers and fans, the comedy of two-way but also to satire.
So my dear women.. the secret is… don’t take yourselves too seriously!
